BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Three people were killed Saturday night in a fiery crash in Boca Raton.
A Boca Raton Police Department spokesperson tells BocaNewsNow.com that a Lincoln traveling northbound on Dixie Highway “left the roadway and struck a pole” around 10 p.m. The crash occurred between Palmetto Park Road and Camino Real.
“The vehicle became fully engulfed in flames and three occupants died at the scene.”
Florida Power and Light was on the scene to deal with the downed wires. Dixie Highway was closed from the time of the crash until just after 4 a.m. Sunday.
Witnesses tell BocaNewsNow.com that family of one of the victims was seen at the scene crying and allegedly said that at least one of the victims was 19 years old. Witnesses at the scene said bodies were burned beyond recognition, but police could not confirm that report on Sunday.
